ICMA Mission Statement
The International Card Manufacturers Association
(ICMA) is a worldwide non-profit association of plastic card manufacturers
and personalizers supported by suppliers and other industry participants,
which promotes the plastic card industry and the value of its products
and services while providing an independent forum to speak for the
industry.
ICMA's objectives are to:
- Educate manufacturers, personalizers,
suppliers, issuers, the business community and the general public
on the plastic card industry regarding the development of new
technologies, products, services and environmental issues.
- Foster Sound and ethical business practices.
- Participate and subscribe to ANSI and
ISO standards and assist in the interpretation and dissemination
of these standards.
- Interface with other organizations and
entities in the plastic card industry.
- Publish information and materials containing
data on manufacturing technologies and industry statistics.
- Support research into the products, equipment,
methods, management and business opportunities of the plastic
card industry and improvement thereof..
