SMARTRAC, a global, leading  RFID manufacturer is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for central and south  America of our , rapidly growing and profitable business.
The Regional Sales Manager  has a great deal of experience in the plastic card and / or RFID industry. The Regional Sales Manager will be a resourceful, well-connected results-driven  entrepreneur responsible for the growth and success of our business in  Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia and Peru.

The position will be responsible for
:

    • Driving revenue growth particularly through the development of new opportunities.
    • Creating and executing strategic and tactical plans to grow sales
    • Detecting and initiating new sales processes and business opportunities in the market.
    • Managing sales processes.
    • Conducting continuous negotiation processes with business organizations and governments.
    • Building strong and good relations with customers through mutual interests
    • Understanding the needs of the local customer base, specific market requirements and competitive trends and using that knowledge to generate growth.
    • Creating and proposing new product ideas for the region,
    • Ability to interact with team members in other countries.

      The person:

    • Preferably a Bachelors degree.
    • A Minimum 5 years experience in a senior position in Sales.
    • Well connected within the card market.
    • Strong Background in selling products related to the card industry.
    • High business skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal relations.
    • Spanish and fluent English is required.

The Opportunity:

The PSA sales team is growing!  PSA seeks a charismatic, high performance individual to grow into a consultative expert, helping our clients fully realize the value of partnering with us for their card and direct mail needs.

Job Duties Include:

  • Analyze market, identify key opportunities, and open the door to future potential by conveying the unique value PSA offers to help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Develop existing relationships into more strategic partnerships, cultivate trust and relationships at the executive level, and evangelize new solutions and offerings.
  • Bring demonstrated client-service skills, manage day-to-day activities with our operations staff, and ensure satisfied customers become future references.

Traits you must possess:

  • Strong desire to consistently meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to be a responsive, multi-tasking, problem-solving self starter.
  • Exceptional communication skills in all forms.  Very strong strategic value proposition and presentation skills.
  • Gift for easily identifying key opportunities and develop value propositions and sales strategies for each.
  • Verifiable successful experience selling plastic cards.
  • Verifiable successful experience in all sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, new business pitches, preparation of sales materials and communications, client interaction and entertaining, and the other duties required to successfully manage and develop territories and key accounts.
  • Ability to provide client feedback and competitive insights to sales management regarding customer requirements, new programs, special features and strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years relevant solution/consultative sales experience in selling plastic cards in the retail or hospitality markets is absolutely required
  • Established senior level contacts within mid-to large-size clients
  • Demonstrated and consistent success at exceeding ambitious revenue targets
  • Combination of large and small company experience is preferred
